Kate Puxley’s paintings explore the complexities of human relationships, and the incongruities of the human condition. Issues such as our interaction with the environment, family ties, and our journey to death are all part of this experience.
She portrays scenes that express a range of experience and that capture both the humour and quirkiness of life. Her goal is to provoke thought and touch the emotions through creating images that speak about both the mundane and the macabre. Her paintings are hung in the Brookstreet Hotel (Kanata, ON) and in The Ironworks (Almonte, ON), as well as in private collections. Kate Puxley lives in Montreal, Quebec. Page 1 of 2 |
